Be seen, Be Heard, Be Hungry!

On April 25 and 26, teens from across the Diocese of the Rio Grande will gather at the Cathedral Church of St. John to “be seen, be heard, Be Hungry” during the 30-Hour Famine for World Vision. The 30-Hour Famine is an international youth movement to fight hunger. From 12:00 on Friday through

6:00 pm, Saturday, 30 hours, the teens will fast to earn funds that will go to help feed the least, the lost, the hungry and the poor in God’s Kingdom. Why 30 hours? It takes about 30 hours of fasting for most westerners to feel the hunger that most of the world’s poor feel all the time

The youth will spend the time in community service at places like Joy Junction, the Roadrunner Food Bank and other area service projects. Please pledge generously when you are approached by the youth and pray for us as we seek to be God’s hands and feet on the earth.
