30 Hour Famine Sample. World Vision.

30 Hour Famine is an international youth movement to fight hunger. It will bring your group closer together and to God, feed hungry children, and change our world forever.  Sample includes previous year leader materials and VHS tape. 

The Way of the Child: Church Pack. Upper Room Books, 2006, Books, CD's and DVD.

The Way of the Child focuses on the spiritual formation of children.  It is a part of the Companions in Christ series and helps children learn and experience spiritual practices that will lead them into a deeper awareness of God's presence in their lives. This resource includes 5 chapters on the spiritual nature of children and theory of faith formation as well as 39 sessions to use with groups of children. The sessions are in modules grouped in these themes: God's Love and Care, Prayer, Advent and Epiphany, Acts of Love, Lent, Easter, Parables, and Meaningful Scriptures.

Each session is designed for a 60-90 minute time frame with children ages 6-11. There are enough sessions to use from September through May in Sunday school weekday or weeknight settings. It is also designed for short-term use and can be adapted for day camp, Vacation Bible School, and other gatherings of children throughout the year.

The Way of Pilgrimage. Upper Room Books, 2007, Complete Set.

This experiential, 30-week study fosters the spiritual formation of senior-high youth and college freshmen. Through engaging in ancient spiritual practices of prayer and contemplation, young people discover new ways to go deeper spiritually. This is a great resource to help young people deepen and mature their faith, and it is user-friendly for volunteers, youth leaders, college chaplains, and students. It can be used in small groups or cell groups, Sunday school classes, various youth groups settings, camp and retreat settings, or even to prepare the hearts and minds of young people before a mission trip or pilgrimage. The following six-week Participant's Books include scripture, daily exercises, and readings. One Leader's Guide prepares you for guiding participants along the entire 30-week pilgrimage.
