A natural portrayal of the journeys and trials of Joseph and Mary as they are confronted by the realities of the Nativity story.  One of the best dramatic portrayals of this central story, starring Madeleine Stowe and John Shea .  97 minutes. 

Old Yeller. Walt Disney, 1957, VHS.

This is the vintage Disney film originally released in 1957. The simple, heart-warming story of a boy who bonds with a feisty stray dog in 1860s Texas.  With Old Yeller at his side, Kirk becomes a little man, who in the end must make a decision so heart-breaking that it's one of filmdom's most memorable moments.  84 minutes. 

School Who Needs It: Davey and Goliath. Gospel Films, VHS.

Davey and his friends do not like school much this year and this leads to carelessness and an important life lesson.  An ELCA animated feature from when some of us were young.  30 minutes.

Chronicles of Narnia. BBC, 1988, VHS.

Originally broadcast in 1988, this adaptation of C S Lewis' powerful fantasy for all ages uses live action, animation and special effects to recreate the most thrilling adventure of all. Relive the excitement of this memorable production.  This is not the most recent cinematic version.  Excellent for younger children; older children may find the old style animation and humans in animal costumes distracting.

Francesco's Friendly World - The Gifts of Christmas, Edmundo Productions, 1997, VHS.

Celebrate Christmas through songs, suspense and surprises as Francesco initiates a Christmas tradition destined to be emulated the world over for centuries to come.
